Nada Surf—Waiting For Something
Even though they've been around since 1992, every time I hear the name Nada Surf, I feel like this is not the type of band I can listen to. Well, it turns out that my preconceptions were way off in every way. Even the name is an existential reference to "surfing on nothingness," which sounds pretty cool to me. The video above is a live acoustic version that is, for some reason, performed in a museum in Paris, and is also spectacular.
